You are very demanding; it would take several books to explain EVERYTHING about Hinduism, which is a very ancient and complicated religion with lots of history and lots of theology and many intricate rituals and practices. The entire subject of yoga derives from hinduism, and yoga itself would take several books to fully describe. I will tell you that Hinduism is considered to be one of the world's most important religions and has something like a billion members; it is polytheistic, meaning that it has more than one god (the actual number is very large, but there are primarily three Hindu gods, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva). The religion teaches that people are reincarnated, that is, they are reborn into new lives here on Earth after death, unlike the Christian belief that people go to heaven or hell after death. It's an interesting religion. I would suggest that you go to your local library and take out a book on the subject.

This is what my social studies classes have stressed on Hinduism:

* Hinduism was founded in India * Hinduism in practised mainly in India * Hinduism is polytheistic and monotheistic (the main three are Shiva the Destroyer, Brahma the Creator, and Vishnu the Protector) * Hinduism has many founders, and a very unclear beginning * Hinduism supports reincarnation * Hinduism supports karma * Hinduism has no real holy texts * Hindus consider cattle and the Ganges river, among other things, to be sacred * Hinduism supports the Caste System * The lowest caste is the untouchables * The caste system dictates one's entire life * One can only move out of a caste through reincarnation * The caste system is now outlawed, but still has a huge impression on India, particularly in rural areas That's about it.
