St John Ambulance originated from the Knight's Hospitallier during the crusades in Jerusalem. It's purpose was to protect the sick and provide care. The organisation was recognised by the Pope and moved to the town of Amalfi in Malta, (hence the symbol of Symbol of the Amalfi Cross). The organisation was outlawed by Henry VIII (seeing it as a Catholic organisation) and returned under Queen Victoria in 1882 who granted St John Ambulance her seal (the lions and unicorns). The organisation continues to exist to this day serving as a reserve for medical services in times of national emergency (e.g. war or natural disaster) as well as providing first-aid cover at public events.

St Johns Park High School's motto is 'Know First Yourself'.
It has... slightly. in 1963, when Dr. Who first started, there was a St. Johns ambulance sticker on one of the doors. They then moved it, and they have now replaced it again. The shade of blue is slightly different, too.
