<<<2004, it snowed at 11 pm. the next day there was 4 in.>>>
The ONLY White Christmas for Virginia Beach since 1978 (that's when I moved here), was 25 December 1999. It was our first Christmas in our new home. We got less than an inch, but it covered the ground nicely. Took video of my kids riding their jeeps in the snow in the back yard. It was so nice! Also, Jon Cash, from WAVY 10, said if it snowed on Christmas that year, he would kiss a pig and he did!
Snowfall for 2004: January 9 (less than an inch, more just ground cover), January 10 (less than an inch, more just ground cover), January 26 (this one had about 3-4 inches), February 16 (about 1-2 inches), March 10 (less than an inch). I take pics EVERYTIME it snows, no matter how big or small! I love snow!
The last time snow fell in Baltimore was in 2002. Check out the related link.
The last time it snowed was today, 2/26/2011. The last time recored was 30 years ago. Although it has snowed small unrecorded amounts. The snow was a small flurry at first and got very heavy, almost blizzard conditions at one point near Mantelli and Santa Teresa. The ground was too hot for accumulation in the valley.
Not really the last time it snowed here was 1991 but the news said it's supposed to snow tomorrow.
last time that it snowed in merced where it was measurable snow was back in 1998. Since then there has been some occasional flurries and traces of snow in recent years. It can snow if conditions are right, and with global warming like it is, it could snow again. The last time it snowed in Merced was around 2006. I've lived here since the early 70's and it's snows consistently about once every ten years. It has nothing to do with global warming. Weather is cyclical.
No because it hasn't snowed in Miami in a year and I said a year because last year it was so cold at night that it was raining ice and I mean ice ice not hail but ever since that it hasn't been colder than 20 degrees.
In 2009. It RARELY ever snows but it finally did in 2009! In southern Florida it did not snow. Towards Orlando there was sleet. Above the Orlando area, it did actually snow.January 8 2010
