The cooling fan relays (there are three) on this model are located in the maxifuse panel under the hood. Its location should be documented in your manual. If not it should be located above the air cleaner. You may also have to remove the air cleaner to remove the shroud guarding the maxifuses and relays.

There are a couple of reasons why a 1996 Cadillac Seville SLS may overheat. The coolant may be low or the thermostat needs to be replaced.
The cars are essentially the same except for a few trim options and horsepower, the body is the same so the rear window should work just fine.
Check the relays and fuses.
the starter is under the intake manifold which has to be removed to get to the starter
By plugging a scan tool into the service port.
it has to boxes under the hood and one in the trunk
First off your vehicle has two flasher relays. One for the turn signals and one for the hazard lights. Both Relays are located under the dash on the drivers side mounted on the passenger side of the steering wheel. It simply plugs in. Go buy a new one and you will know what is looks like or click the link to see a photo of the relay.http://www.autozone.com/electrical-and-lighting/relay-turn-signal/duralast-relay-turn-signal/cadillac/seville-sls/1996/8-cylinders-y-4-6l-sfi-dohc/221854_0_0/
