There are many places where one can take a CBT test. One can take a CBT test anywhere in the area known as the United Kingdom in order to ride a motorcycle.
No.
By law a CBT must be taken to ride a moped, and it is the only test you need to take to ride a moped on your own (this lasts for two years before you have to re take it unless you possess a full license by then), however you must use a learner plate at all times. A CBT must be taken to provisionaly ride on a motorbike before a motorbike test. You can ride a moped on a full licence without a CBT.
no you have to have a cbt test then that last you for two years and you dont have to take the test when your 17 for the 125cc i should know im 17 and got a 125 cc moped and i didnt have to take another test
No you dont have to take a test. You have to take a CBT training course which normally last 4-8 hours on and off road with a 50cc or 125cc. you shold pass in a days course.
16
Only if you have obtained a replacement certificate from the issuing station (where you took your CBT) or DVLA.
EXPLANATION OF QUESTION: I completed my CBT on my 16th birthday and it is now coming up to my 18th and CBT's only last 2 years. However i passed my Car Driving Test last month and now have a full driving licence but not taken a motorbike test. So do i need to retake my CBT on my 18th or can i ride it on a full licence without a CBT?
No on a cbt you can only ride up to 14.6 bhp to ride a 33bhp bike you must pass you full test .
No, hence the phrase Compulsory Basic training, everyone must do it. It allows you to ride for 2 years with L plates but after this 2 years you must either retake your CBT or take the full practical and theory test.
You have to be at least 16, you also have to attatch an L plate if you do not wish to take your test. Edit to the above answer: I've just passed my test so all this is still very much in my head. If you're off-road on private land you can ride any bike at any age. If you want to ride ANYTHING on the roads you must be at least 16, have passed a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) course and use L-plates. You can't just stick L-plates up and ride something on the roads these days, you will be stopped and asked to show your CBT certificate. This CBT certificate lasts for two years in which time you need to either take a Theory Test and then your full practical test, or re-sit your CBT.
