Honestly, In my opinion its very easy to exchange the drive out with a new one you buy offline just a little knowledge and you can have it working in no time.
Or sell it to GameStop do they check it to see if it works.
Thats what i did with my Xbox when it was console ban for online use lol i got a 140.00 for it more then what i bought it for 50.00 from a friend with a couple of my own modifications to it. Like brand new. Well there you go.
