I am trying to find out where Egypt got its name from, is there someone who can help me with this question?

Answer: According to records that were uncovered in the valley of the kings in the mid 1800's it was named after a woman called Egypt. She was the first to settle the land after the floods, and was the daughter of Ham, Noahs son. Her oldest son was named Pharaoh and was the first king, and all subsequent kings carried his name.

Not many people accept this because the translation of those documents were disputed among the Egyptian "scholars" of that time, which were few and un-experienced. Those papyrus were lost in the great Chicago fire, October 10, 1871. Since they never received official scientific approval and that record doesn't exist, it is dismissed today.
