During Winter or whenever it is cold to lower the freezing point of the water in your car radiator.
:] F
you open the plastic bottle and pour in the antifreeze
You can add it to the coolant reservoir. It's located in the top left corner of your engine. Make sure your car is cool before you add in the antifreeze.
in overflow jug
Yes. Never add pure antifreeze. Pure antifreeze will actually freeze before a 50/50 mix. Add coolant that is a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water. You can buy it already pre-mixed.
you can add antifreeze in 2 places. If engine is cold, open radiator cap and poor directly in.Also there is a antifreeze reservor thatr you can poor it in if it is empty. Remember just add fluid until it comes up to the cold line on resv.
With the hood open, on the passenger side there is the overflow container for the rad. The cap might be pressurized if the engine is hot. You add the antifreeze there.
It doesn't have one per se. The antifreeze overflow serves as the car's radiator cap. If you need to add antifreeze, add it there.
add to coolant recovery tank!!!
preferably distilled water
If the vehicle is cold yes but make sure you mix the antifreeze with water before you add it, 50-50 is the best mix.
Find the overall balance of antifreeze: amount of antifreeze to start with + the amount of pure antifreeze to add = amount of antifreeze in the final solution Let X be the amount of pure antifreeze to add in gallons. (70 * 0.25) + X = 0.80 * (70+X) 17.5 + X = 56 + 0.8X 0.2X = 56 - 17.5 0.2X = 38.5 X = 38.5/0.2 = 192.5 gallons
If it has a 4.6 V8 it needs 1 3/4 Gallons antifreeze and then fill with water.
