on the first gen legends...that was before odb systems were used...you would need to locate your ecu..usually on the pass. side fornt floor board under the carpet..once you find it it will have two lights on it one red and one yellow the red one is the one that indicates any problems..the yellow is for fast or slow idle...count the blinks on the red led light then reference it with the rtepair manual...if more than one problem is saved in the ecu..there will be a pause in between the different trouble codes
GOOD QUESTION? it's located under the passenger seat there's a small black box with blinking lights to the left of that small light on the unit itself is the connector.

There are several places you will find the serial number for a 1994 Acura Legend. You can find this number on the driver's side of the vehicle at the lower corner of the window. You will also find this number on the inside of the driver's side door along the edge. The vehicle serial number is also printed on insurance, registration, and title for a vehicle as well.
Yes, many dealerships sell a repair kit, you can also find them on ebay.

On the 92 Accord (probably similar to Legend) the VSS is boat-shaped (square on one end and pointy on the other. It has a three wire connector and is mounted on the top of the transmission directly under the thermostat housing. To change it you unplug the wire connector and remove two 12mm bolts. Take care not to lose the white plastic drive pin. Typically these are on the top of the tranny so they don't get as wet. The three wires are +12, gnd, output (+5V pulse).
