cylinders 2,4,6 are on the front bank(think radiator side) and cylinders 1,3,5 are on the rear bank(firewall side)..these are listed from left to right when standing in front of the engine/car.
the coils are 1-4-6-3-2-5 from the front of the engine(left to right of course)
Dont confuse this, but the firing order is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. But this info isn't really needed when you have the above info.
I guess nobody knows ... maybe pull the engine out???? Or buy a different car??? Nothing is impossible ... except this.
iv got a 99 buick centry custom with 3100 and i want to put 3800 heads and the supercharger off of a 99 regal is it possable?
4.5 quarts
Yes
The 3.1 litre V6 engine in a 1997 Buick Century has a timing CHAIN
I think it is. The models are built on the same platform.
5 quarts
It's on the driver's side of the rear cylinder head.
The 2001 Buick Century came equipped with the 3100 V6 (engine code 'J'). The cooling system capacity is 11.6 quarts.
The 3100 SFI engines were rated to 160HP, like the 3300 engines were. The 3.1 MultiPort FI were rated at 140HP. Of course, you certainly can swap a 3.1 MPFI engine in your Century, and in my opinion, you would do a very good choice. If a 3.1 MPFI can work in a Chevrolet Cavalier, why wouldn't it work in a Century?
on 3100 engine, 11.6 quarts=10.9 liters including reservoir
The 1999 Buick Century Glove Compartment Manual on the inside of the last page shows: Crankcase (Engine Oil with filter change) 3100 Engine 4.5 quarts (4.3L)
