Right on top of the engine. its the Silver rectangular piece that has the heat-sink fins on it. Its actually part of the plastic piece (with ecotec 2.2 written on it) that holds the boots for your spark plugs.
The 2.2L Ecotech engine does not have a Camshaft Position Sensor. It has a unique type of ignition system which consist of Ignition Module, Ignition Coil Assembly, and a Crank Sensor.

They are located below the black plastic where you see the "ECOtec" logo on the engine top. You have to remove screws and pull out the ignition coils to see the spark plugs. By the way GM's 2.2 Ecotec use direct ignition, so there's no spark plugs wires.
