Directly under the steering wheel on the bottom of the dashboard.
With the driver's door open kneel down between the door and the drivers seat. This position will allow you to easily see the OBDII connector. There is usually a plastic cap over the actual connector pins.
In my 2004 Chevy Aveo LS, the OBD-II connector is against the panel closest to the driver's knees above the brake pedal.
All cars and light trucks built and sold in the United States after January 1, 1996 were required to be OBD II equipped. In general, this means all 1996 model year cars and light trucks are compliant, even if built in late 1995. However there is no guarentee your 1996 is OBD2. Some early 1996 Nissan Maxima's were OBD1 and later models were OBD2. The OBD2 connector is a 16 pin connector and is almost always located on the driver's side under the dash.
The OBD2 connector is located underneath the ash tray.
The OBDII connector is under the dash on the left (driver) side.
The OBD ll syetem was not approved until 1996, so doubt if any '93 car had a connector for it.
