Since cortex means the outer layer of an inner organ, the cerebral cortex is the outer layer of the cerebrum.
(The cerebrum is the 'biggest' part of the brain as you look at a 'naked' brain, with all the loops and whorls on its surface, divided into two parts, the left and right cerebral hemispheres.)
If you can imagine the cerebrum to be like a pie, then the crust would be the cerebral cortex. But the 'crust' is much thinner. The cortex is, actually, only the outer few millimeters of the upper brain, known as the cerebrum. It has 6 layers of differing types of neurons, where cognition and long-term memory occur, and is commonly referred to as the 'grey mater' of the brain.
The other parts of the brain are the diencephalon, cerebellum, and the brain stem. These parts do not have a cerebral cortex, although the cerebellum does have an outer layer or cortex of its own, called the cerebellar cortex, most of which is actually hidden in interior folding within the cerebellum. The cortex of the cerebellum doesn't make direct connections to the cortex of the cerebrum, as all of the cerebellum's connections to other parts of the brain travel through the pons, a part of the brain stem.
its located in the front of your brain..!!
The cerebrum is located in the brain. The cerebrum is located in the brain.
The cerebrum makes up the vast bulk of what we would consider our brain and occupies most of the cranial cavity.
The cerebral cortex is the outermost layer of the cerebrum. Within the cortex lies the vast majority of our neurons of the brain.
It is the main portion of the brain, occupying the upper part of the cranial cavity, divided into two hemispheres.
It is located at the top of the brain

The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France is not located in the Cerebrum. There are many other structures as well. The Sydney Opera House. The Brooklyn Bridge. In fact the vast majority of all structures are not located within the brain.

Your vision is processed in the cerebrum in the occipital lobe located in the back of your brain.
The Temporal lobe located within the Cerebrum is the primary hearing and smelling area of the brain.
The higher centers in the brain are located in the cerebrum.
The cerebrum is not the motor command center, but it is involved in controlling voluntary movements. The primary motor cortex in the cerebrum is responsible for sending signals to the muscles to initiate movement. Other areas of the brain, such as the cerebellum and basal ganglia, also play important roles in coordinating and refining motor commands.
because the cerebellum is the hind brain and resides in occipital fossae. cerebrum is the brain not including the cerebellum
