i just LEARNED THAT THERE ARE TWO O2 CENSORS ON A 99' Ford ESCORT THEY ARE EASY TO CHANGE. ONE IS RIGHT BELOW THE CAD CONVERTER AND THE SECOND ONE IS LOCATED ON THE MANIFOLD. JUST DISSCONNECT THE WIRES AND UNSCREW THE O2 CENSOR. THEN REPLACE IT.
The upstream heated oxygen sensor is located ahead of the catalytic converter The downstream heated oxygen sensor is located behind the converter

There are two sensors. One is between the exhaust manifold and the cat. and the other is after the cat.
Try the rear of the radiator approx. 1/3 from the top
thermostat housing on the side of the engine block
Sensor one is in the exhaust manifold on the back of the engine. Sensor two is in the side of the catalytic converter.
go to autozone they will check it free
It is located on the muffler by the moter and looks like a sparkplug with wire attached at the end. To be specific, my 2000 Durango has 1 upstream oxygen sensor and 1 downstream oxygen sensor. Both are located on the exhaust pipe. The upstream is between the engine and catalytic converter. The downstream is located between the catalytic converter and muffler. - Mick
the coolant sensor is in the radiator on the passanger side the oxygen sensor is in the exhaust system on the manifold and the pipes and sometimes both
A/F sensor are located in each exhaust manifold, O2 sensor After catalytic converter on exhaust pipe
It is the sensor in the outlet of the catalytic converter.
One is located on the downpipe and the other is located before the cat (On the infamous u-bend).
