On the Ides of March (the 15th), 44 BC, Gaius Julius Caesar was set upon by up to 60 of his senators and stabbed 23 times.
Recently scientists in Italy and with some help from the United States, disproved the 23 stabbings of Caeser. Scientist's now say Caeser was stabed anywhere from 4 - 9 times. Either way he was dead.

He is Julius Caeser son in law who beat Mark Anthony in a fight for who would take over the Roman Empire when Caeser died. Also he became dictator for life, unlike Julius Caeser. Also his name was changed to Augustus.
