Off hand, Budhism is one of the few, if not only, world religions that speaks to the causes of peace and tolerance. Another belief system that is generally peaceful would be Atheism and agnosticism. In general, only rational belief systems promote peace and tolerance.
All of the other major world religions will give verbal homage to peace and tolerance, yet all of their written works (including those of Christianity, islam and Catholicism) include verbage that direct its followers to perform violence against unbelievers.
Already we see islam and christianity squaring off, positioning themselves for global conflict. If people are ever burnt to death on the stake again, as during the inquisition, it will be the work of religious people.
