The eye needs to be wet thus making the eyelid to blink to put more fluids for it to work well.
I'm thinking that this is easy to test and find out. When you blink, the only part of you that moves is your eyelid. The rest of you stays still. So if you move your eyelid faster than the speed of light and it goes back in time, then your eyelid would disappear, because the rest of you would stay here in thepresent time. You could try it any time, wherever you are, and see what happens. But how fast would you have to blink ?If your eyelid moves a whole inch during a blink, then in order to move at the speedof light, you'd have to move it fast enough to blink 11,802,827,520 times in one second. That's about 590 thousand times faster than that high squeal you hear froma mosquito's wings.Do you think you can do that ? Good luck on your experiment.
Eleventy billion! :D
The eyelid is the skin that covers your eye when you blink and your eyelashes are on the end.
There are lacrimal glands in the eye that make tears and these keep the eye clean with each blink of the eye lid.

A Blink of the Eye is a 0.40 of a second a 99 mph baseball is 0.395 of a secondwhich means the baseball is faster if you don't believe watch the pros that throw 95 mph if you blink you will not the see the ball
faster than you can blink
idk all of them but if a pitcher is throwing 95 mph then the ball will reach the plate at aproximately .395 of a second... the human eye takes .4 to blink so therefore a 95 mph pitch reaches the plate faster than the humn eye can blink
Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Good Luck.
