Mosquitoes do target certain people, but not necessarily a certain blood type. Mosquitoes head toward people who have high concentrations of steroids or cholesterol on their skin surface and those who produce excess amounts of uric acid. Mosquitoes are drawn to carbon dioxide, and larger people give off more carbon dioxide, so the mosquitoes will be naturally drawn to larger people.

Mosquitoes prefer type O blood because it's chemical structure is close to flower nectar. Also, if you see an abnormally large mosquito, leave it be. It's probably male and only females bite.
