I would've supported Shays' Rebellion. I think it was the right thing to do. The farmers that fought in the war were getting thrown in debtors' prison unfairly. Shays did the right thing!

Go Daniel Shays!

What happened to the farmers after shays rebellion?

A Revolutionary War veteran named Daniel Shays led about 2,000 armed men against the Springfield arsenal. The governor of Massachusetts asked for help from the national government but the government under the Articles were unable to act. The rebellion eventually collapsed but the problems continued. Shays and his followers believed they were simply carrying on the sprit of the Revolution. Thomas Jefferson, then minister to France, agreed with them. "A little rebellion now and then is a good thing," he wrote to a friend. "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." Washington did not agree with Jefferson. He welcomed the failure of Shays's Rebellion and he compared it to his having to use force to prevent a military coup by a group of army officers under his command. He believed citizens could not take up arms whenever they felt something was not done correctly or they had a grievance.

Would the civil war happened without the nat turner rebellion?

Probably. However, uprisings like Nat Turner, Gabriel Prosser and Denmark Vessey increased fear among white Southerners. The fears were increased by support of the uprisings by people like John Brown, who the Southerners felt were supported by Northern abolitionists. The result was a lack of trust of people on the "other" side. .

What did shays rebellion not work?

When Shays and his forces neared the armory, they found Shepard's militia waiting for them. Shepard ordered a warning shot; the two cannon present were fired directly into Shays's men. Four of the Shaysites were killed, twenty wounded. There was no musket fire from either side. Crying "Murder!", for they never thought that their neighbors and fellow veterans would fire at them, the rebels fled north. On the opposite side of the river, Day's forces also fled north. The militia captured many of the rebels on February 4 in Petersham, Massachusetts; by March there was no more armed resistance
