When Humayun was drove out of India by Sher Shah Suri, he took refugee in Persia. Shah Tahmasp of Persia helped him to recapture Delhi in 1555. Akbar captured Kandahar from Safavids in 1595.
humayun's death was kept secret because when the people comes to know that the there king has died the enimies of humayun would invade delhi and concure delhi .
Humayun's Tomb at Delhi has been built with Red Sand Stone and Lime Mortar. The stone was brought from Rajasthan.

Shahjahanabad
Bega Begum also known as Haji Begum was the chief wife of Mughal Emperor Humayun. It was Bega Begum who commenced the construction of Humayun's tomb at Delhi.
Humayun died on 24 Jan 1556, due to an accidental fall from the stairs of his library (Sher Mandal library at Purana Qila) in Delhi.
If the secret was let out, the enemies, european traders, portuguese traders, etc would invade delhi and conquer it. It would be a great loss for Humayun and Akbar. So it was kept as a secret so that while akbar reaches Delhi and tell out the secret, he could have a watch that Delhi would be safe!

Sher Shah Suri defeated Humayun in the Battle of Kannauj on 17 May, 1540, and captured Delhi and Agra. He ascended the throne of Hindustan and established the Sur Dynasty. Humayun had to leave India and took refugee in Persia.
