Nobody 'invented' the first airplane - they were developed after much trial and many errors in the USA, France, Britain and other countries all through the late 1890's. MANY inventors across the world invented and flew short flights in aircraft before the Wright brothers.
The first heavier than air, powered aircraft that took off from flat ground (not a ramp or rails) was Clement Ader's Eole in 1890. It was a large bat like aircraft with a light weight steam engine, and room for one pilot. It flew once in view of the French army, getting about a foot off the ground for 500 metres. It was not fully controlable, though.
Yes, the car was invented first.
The Wright brothers built the first airplane in Ohio but made the first flight in North Carolina.
the wright brothers
The steamboat was invented about a hundred years before the aircraft.
Although many people credit the Wright brothers with inventing the first airplane, they were not the first. The first was Leonardo da Vinci, who invented a flying machine. A model of his invention was never built, therefore, it didn't fly.
They called them 'flying machines' or 'aerodromes'.
Boeing made the first JET airplane with its Boeing 707, or Dash 80 as it was called before.
The first airplane was invented in 1903
the steam boat was invented first
The Wright Brothers Invented it in 1901
Igor Sikorsky was the first person to fly in an airplane, in his 1913 airplane called "The Grand." The Wrights were the first people to fly an airplane, but you fly ON a Wright Flyer--it's very open. Sikorsky invented the enclosed cockpit.
