Well.... I'm unsure as to whether this is a joke or not.
Regardless, The Commander-In Chief of all military units is Barack Obama, at this moment. Whoever is the President is in command of all sworn military personnel.
JROTC has no CINC (Commander-In-Chief) except your unit cadet Commanding Officer and your instructors. JROTC holds NO military obligation, it's just a fun high school experience. (though it does have perks for military bound students. Just mentioning)
If you need more information, just message me.
Yes. JROTC is in high school, ROTC is in college. Technically, you do not have to take JROTC at all to take ROTC. Generally, people who take ROTC in college are joining the military afterwards. The same in not necessarily true for JROTC.
The high School JROTC class prepares students to join the military or at least give them an idea of what the military is all about. It instills discipline, leadership and responsibility, It will also n=make the cadets better people in general.
The Advanced Promotion rate is the same across all branches. If you have taken JROTC for at least two years, you will be promoted to E-2 automatically.
Not in an actual military sense. There have been times when JROTC cadets might be called up to support civil relief operations... for example, JROTC cadets worked with law enforcement, the military, and other first response agencies after Hurricane Katrina, and people of all ages participate in the MARS (Military Affiliate Radio Service) program.
Have straight A's in all Class's and be in the Top 25% of your JROTC Class.
I have many reasons for enrolling in JROTC. JROTC is all about me. It i devoted to my developement as both a student and a person. Although JROTC is very demanding I enjoy the challenge and the discipline. It improve my studing and test taking abilities and help me better focus on academics. JROTC also looks good on your college transcript. I get to travel and meet people i wouldn't normally meet and they become like a family to you. I agree with everything he said but also if your interested in the military JROTC will help you get a sneak preview on how the real military will be. Also if you want to be inlisted after high school it will almost guarentee you being accepted. JROTC is a great choice either way if you just want to become a better citizen or be involved in the military. I'm joining soon {next year} and I'm really excited. Person above me though what should i expect?
All the different parts of a cell specialize in different things and all the units in the military specialize in different things. Both the different parts of the cell and the military units contribute to the whole by doing their part.
I know there is JROTC in: Anchorage Fairbanks Bethel Palmer Nome These are all towns in Alaska. I live in here. Its not as isolated as you think.
Texas A&M has ROTC units for all the military services. The Corps of Cadets is an organization that is affiliated with all the services.

Some colleges in Georgia that offer Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) programs are Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Southern University, and Savannah State University. These programs provide leadership training and opportunities for students interested in joining the military.
