Captain Morgan was a pirate captain ruling in the 1682 to the early 1737. He started his rule at 18 years old and died at 73 years old of assassination by the legendary blackbeard (yes he was real!). He had a fleet of about 40-50 ships. How did he get that money? From piracy and his own rum industry.When he died, so did his company. but it was revived 2009, because that is when the ingredients were finally perfected! And that's when the company sparked up again! So that means for 272 years the ingredients for his rum have been unknown, and I guess you can say how long the company has been "dormant".
