The original Greek god Eros was the god of the primordial force of love, one of the most powerful elements at the beginning of the universe that came from Khaos. Eros was necessary for Gaia (Earth) and Ouranos (Heaven) to mate to create the Titans. In later Greek times, he was personified as the son of Aphrodite and Ares, love and war.

To the Romans, Cupid was the god of sexual desire (cupido) who was viewed as a mischievous little boy always in trouble with his mother Venus and father Mars.

To modern people, Cupid is the god of Valentine's Day cards, chocolates, flowers, and diapers.

The legend of Cupid is that there's this winged child named Cupid going around shooting love arrows at people. Why? Because he wants people to marry so he shoots arrows at them to make them fall in love. He is a symbol of valentine's day and is just a myth.
