Michael Ney (middle name is David) has a history of successfully producing creative projects since 1986 (The Crystal Visionary - book and magazine), including film and video projects but also multimedia CD-ROMs, websites and multimedia theatre. After many years working backstage in the theatre and lighting design, studying television production, then moving to commercial Photography, photojournalism and audio-visuals, Michael formed a multimedia company called Virtual Realm Xchange (VRX).
Over several years VRX was engaged by clients such as Westpac, The City of Sydney Council, educational institutions such as Sydney University, and music groups such as DEF FX, and even The Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Michael is renowned for producing highly stylised, unique and innovative products. His services include creative direction and digital design, animation, video production, scripting, editing, voiceovers and special effects.
In 2001 Michael rebranded his activities into a new company called "Sensory Image" to focus on film and TV projects. He is also a skilled camera person, editor, and production manager.
A recent assignment (Nov 08 to Feb 09) was shooting the second season's "Behind the Scenes" DVD material for the SBS TV series "East West 101" in Sydney, Australia for producers Kris Wyld and Steve Knapman.
Michael is also a founding member of OZDOX - the Australian Documentary Forum, and since July 2003 has been an active member of the organising committee alongside Pat Fiske, Mitzi Goldman, Martha Ansara, Tom Zubrycki, and others.
