In Roman Mythology that talks about a female priest who fell in love with Mars(God of War) they then have 2 twin babies. But since she is a priest she is not allowed to have affairs. So her punishment was to starve in a temple. Mars did nothing to help her. The babies were put into a basket and put afloat upon a river. That was there death sentence. Oh I forgot to tell you that the names of the kids were Romules and Remes. So they were floating on the river until a mother wolf came up and scooped the up from the river. For the past few years, the mother wolf shared her milk with them. But one day an old Shepard found them. So after another many years with the shepard. They finally grew up to be strong men. They both wanted to make a city one day and started to put it where the wolf found them. But then they fought over what the name should be of the city. Rome(Romulus) or Reme(Remes). Finally Romulus killed his brother Remes and finally built his city, naming it Rome.
Hope this help!
Rome was founded by the quasi-mythical figure, Romulus. Romulus and his twin, Remus, were the said to be the sons of Ares by the Vestal Virgin, Rhea Silvia. She was the daughter of the rightful king of Alba Longa, Numitor, who himself was a descendant of Aeneas.
According to myth, Romulus wanted to build the city on the Palantine hill, but Remus preferred the Aventine. They tried to use augury (bird watching) to see whose choice was favored, but both claimed the better signs. In the ensuing argument, Remus was killed by his brother. Romulus went on to create an army and a ruling body (the Senate), and as most of the immediate newcomers were men, set about the kidnapping of the women from the neighboring Sabine tribes, which led to war.
Traditionally, the city was founded on April 21st, 753 BC. This is the date from which Romans kept the year, which was marked as AUC (ab urbe condita - from the founding of the city).
There was no legendary Trojan founder of Rome. The legendary founder of Rome was Romulus, who was said to be from Alba LOnga, a city in Latium (Land of the Latins), not far from Rome. Romulus and his twin brother, Remus, were said to be the sons of Rhea Silvia, the Daughter of Numitor ,the deposed king of Alba Longa. Alba Longa and its royal dynasty were said the have been founded by Ascanius, the son of Aeneas. Aeneas was the Trojan hero, who, according to another legend, landed in Latium and founded the Latin city of Lavinium,
