Heinrich Himmler wrote a circular upon the "Gypsy Nuisance". Here is a link to a translated version of Himmler's words (I am not certain if it is a translation or a paraphrase):

It was part of the inclusion of Gypsies (Romani and Sinti) in the Final Solution. We were not just "add ons"... we were one of the two peoples in the Final Solution itself.
I cannot cite my sources for the following because I cannot find the original. It is in my massive collection of notepads. However, what it says is correct from all I have learned:
"250 Romany children were used to test the effect of Zyklon-B. It was the first time Nazi's used gas to kill, and the children became the first victims of the Holocaust, or the Porrajmos(Romany Holocaust). American researchers say 500,000 Roma were murdered, though Nazi records indicate "at least 2 million" lives were taken, and when you include the many listed as Jews or unidentified, the number is actually around 5 million. Most survivors were sterilized. Nazi Germany nearly wiped our entire ethnicity out."
To provide work and accommodation for people who would otherwise be causing a nuisance on the streets.

The term "Gypsy" originated in England around the 16th century, referring to the Roma people mistakenly believed to have come from Egypt. The Roma actually have origins in South Asia, with migrations beginning around the 11th century. Today, the term "Roma" is preferred to refer to the ethnic group.
It was a harsh time and the things they used reflect that time.
I am sure that they exchanged gifts many times, but one of the most well known gifts that Liz gave Michael was an elephant in which he named Gypsy because Elizabeth had been dressed as a gypsy when she arrived. She had called him and told he she, "had a surprise for him."
That would be called an A minor "Gypsy Scale" (although the term "Gypsy Scale" is often applied to several different scales found in Gypsy music). It is a synthetic mode created by raising the fourth degree of the natural minor scale. It is quite likely that the seventh degree will be raised at times, also, which turns it into a minor mode of the double harmonic major scale.
there are certain times when those planets... like venus..... are in an alignment with the sun and the sun's light... letting those planets REFLECT the same light the stars do...... the sun's light...... without the sun's light..... the stars too would be dark ^^

Gypsy Rose Lee ( my Gypsy Rose) is about a man who is trying to rescue his lover or sister ( song is not clear) from her occupation as a Burlesque actress. I like that bit, In this smoke filled Open front they call the Land of Dreams! Could be an over-revved Empire Gown, huh. Gypsies,. Tramps, and Thieves is a more sombre saga about a carnival performer who is raped by a man and ( papa would have shot him if he knew what he"d done!) This wasn"t swiping a Path Pass. Gypsy Rose is the better and less controversial of the two songs. By the Way, Gypsy Rose Lee was NOT Italian or Gypsy, she was a Jewish girl.
