landfill sites can be very harmful to the environment because most off the waste left on these sites is unrecycleable and as a lot of food these days has a lot of preservatives in and packaging is more oftne than not plastic, these dont naturally bio-degrade for hundreds of years. This is very messy,as the garbage is not contained, smelly, as it smells of rotting waste, pollutive, and very bad for soils and wildlife around the landfill site.
It isn't the landfills that are bad it is the plactic and other materials we put in it because it takes thousands of years for plactic to disolve
it is a pile of junk
Ontario's waste goes in landfills of treatment sites.
leachate comes from landfills; it leaks from landfills and pollutes waters and i think it is very bad so dont let landfills pollute any more because leachate is bad for us.

They can pollute it, and litter it by making bigger landfills....we should reuse or recyle them!!
Liberals are saying that landfills are bad because it smells bad and it kills insects. Liberals teases the monkey in the gorrilla cave
Landfills are in water bodies. This means that landfills can help reduce the amount of garbage that cannot be incinerated left on land. This will reduce the unsightliness of the area, the bad smells and the land taken up, which can be used to develop other things.
560,000 acres are active landfills. I have no idea about old landfills
When landfills fill up, people open up new landfills.
A lot of good and a bit of bad, good for reducing landfills and rubbish, bad cause it takes a lot of power to recycle somethings and not everything is bio-degradable.
