Throughout history until the 1960s men worked outside the home and women were homemakers. In the 1970s women fought for equal rights with men, including working outside the home. Later, it became almost a necessity for there to be two incomes in a household. Though women share the responsibility for making the income now, old social expectations still view men as being the heads and providers of the family, especially for those who grew up in a household in which the man provided the income and women were homemakers.
Another aspect of this is religious in nature. In Christianity, the man is viewed as the provider for and the head of the family. Those who are Christians, or some of them, read this in The Bible and believe it to be true.
When the women are the "leaders" of the family and the lineage is traced through the women. We are generally patriarchal in the U.S. as women generally take their husband's name upon marriage and the men are seen as the "heads" of the family.

I hope. First thing. I can't call aluminum a chemical. I have seen it used as aluminum oxide in some items. I have seen it vaporized and sprayed on cardboard sheets to get the shiny surface on a Coors light package. I have seen it made into lightweight arrows instead of wood. I have seen it made into drinking cans and engine manifolds and heads, but in all these instances it is still in the metal form. Not a chemical form.
i have seen them go for about 10.00 on ebay. they are cool advertising pieces.
The Discovery Channel can be seen in Canada on Shaw, Telus, and Rogers Cable. In the USA, it can be seen through Comcast, and Time Warner Cable providers.

I believe in most countries of the world you remain married until the marriage is formally and legally annulled (you get a divorce). Unless you divorced, I believe in California you would still be seen as your husbands legal wife and if he married to start his 2nd family, that marriage would not be legal and he would have committed a criminal offense (bigamy).
Blind children and blind adults who have never been sighted before, are often seen moving their heads back and forth. This is a mannerism that they do because it helps to stimulate them. They don't know that sighted people don't do it because they have never seen it done before.
Many places still have the flip phones. A lot of service providers do offer them for free when you sign a contract with them. I have also seen them at Factory Direct for really good prices. I believe Walmart has some too but I'm just not sure on the selection.
