There are more blacks in prison because the majority of blacks live in poverty. The object of money then becomes everything to them. It is their solution for their dreams and problems. Some of them are influenced by rappers, whom brag about some of their crimes or lifestyle causing them to become motivated to become just like them or die tryin'.

It's a good question since they are only about 14% of the population but make up the majority of people in jail and prison. Maybe it's simple coincedence that some many are black or maybe it's cause the governments racist, or maybe just maybe they simply just are the one committing the majority of crime and not just cops arresting black folks.
