There are two ways to erase photos from an iPhone:
1. When viewing a photo click the trash icon in the bottom right corner. Then click "delete photo."
or
2. From iTunes, make sure your phone is connected to your computer with a USB drive.
- Click the "photo" tab and uncheck the "sync photos from" and check "remove photos."
- Click "Apply" and the photos are removed.
- Right click to eject the phone at the end.
