If you're referring to World War 1, it was due to the fact that German U-boats were sinking American "unarmed" ships, like Lusitania, causing an uproar. Moreover, America confronted Germany about this, and made them sign the Sussex pledge, which had made them warn ships before they would attack. However, Germany eventually broke that agreement in January 1917, by resorting back to unrestricted submarine warfare. Thus, they had broke the agreement, adding an incentive to go to war for U.S.

The biggest reason was the sinking of American vessels carrying supplies to Britain in the early stages of WWII. However, convoy system development, as well as improved ASW techniques and eventually long range bomber cover, spelled the end of the early advantage the German U-boats had.

Why did the zimmermann telegram push the US toward war?

The Zimmerman telegram was a message sent from Germany to Mexico. As Germany recognized the potential threat of the United States, the Germans insisted Mexico to invade the United States and help support Germany, and in return, they would give Mexico land that the Mexicans lost from the Mexican-American War (Arizona, New Mexico, California, etc.). It seemed like a smart move, unfortunately, the British intercepted this message and made it public to the United States, which was one of the major causes of American intervention in World War I.

Why did the Zimmerman Telegram push the US toward World War 1?

The United States had to declare War on Germany and its allies because of what the telegram had from Arthur Zimmermann, the minister of Germany, to Von Eckhardt, the minster of Mexico, that if Mexico were to join Alliances they would help Mexico get back what The United States took from them during the Mexican-American War. The States that The Untied States Won From Mexico were Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.

Because the southern states considered themselves as sovereign and capable of running their own business. The northern states attempted to push the south into doing what the north wanted, and so the south began seceding.

Where would you look to find informationon the causes of the American Civil War?

Causes were states rights (the South felt that each state was soverign and had the right to govern itself and have advantage of the rights due each state), another cause was northern states attempting to push the southern states into the wishes of the north, which they had no right to do, another cause was A. No. A submarine's propeller relies on the water around it for something to push against. As space is a vacuum, the propeller would have nothing to push against, ergo the submarine would have no thrust.
