Filthiness has nothing to do with it. The Torah forbids Jews to eat pork (Deuteronomy ch.14). Doing so (for a Jew) is a violation of God's command; that's the only reason why Jews do not eat pork.

It's not "unclean" in the sense of soap and water, but rather ritually impure per the Torah.
