It's just a stereotype. The way that men dress or talk doesn't indicate their sexual orientation. I, for one, being a gay male, dress and talk like other guys. People usually can't tell that I'm gay until I tell them.
However, I've noticed that female clothing has been making a general movement toward masculinity, while male clothing has been making a general movement toward femininity. It's just a fashion trend, I suppose.

Gay people find it easier to do what makes them feel good without fear of being judged. I have not met many unhappy gay/lesbians. Happy with themselves therefore happy with the world.
