Why do guys like strip clubs?

There are some very high end strip clubs out there and some women do go to them. Las Vegas has much entertainment with almost naked ladies prancing around on the stage. While most women will look at how pretty the woman dancing is, or what she's wearing, men are basically titilated by the sight of a naked woman (doesn't mean he is in love with her) and he may even get more titilated knowing you are there with him and (pick up some tricks of the trade.) Men have this wild notion that women don't have tricks up their sleeves when it comes to sex and they don't realize these gals who strip or dance in the nude have a job to do and once out of the club they are no different than the rest of us. When you are raising kids, holding down a household and perhaps working to boot, who the heck had the time to think about pole dancing! LOL I would go just to humor him if you have a good sense of humor. It can be entertaining if in a good club, but if you are uncomfortable with it, just tell him no. Better still, say, "OK, this week we go to your strip club, then next weekend you come and see the male strippers with me." I think he will back off! Men are odd! LOL Then again, so are women. And although you may not find this type of experience arousing, he does in some sort of way, and wants YOU to be there with him. Some couples use a strip club as a type of "foreplay", while others just go for the sheer entertainment. Go with an open mind, have a drink and enjoy. Treat the dancers fairly and know that it will be you with your husband at the end of the evening.

I heard it's because it's a form of entertainment for them. I think some men go to strip clubs when they are married because maybe there wife wont do that for them and it is a habit some men it is a addiction to see sexual stuff. They shouldn't go but they do. And some men are just nasty pigs!!

There are a variety of reasons. Some men were unattractive in their youth or feel they are unattractive and know that the strip club dancer will perform for him as long as he has money. Other men view it as part of their culture. Maybe it is repeated behavior as their fathers did the same thing. Still other men may not be getting the attention in their own personal lives and for 3-4 minutes, they can have a stripper fawn over them. Hope this helps. Basically, for visual stimulation and for an ego boost. Strip clubs provide the atmosphere of the unattainable---a variety of nude (or nearly nude) women seeking him out, paying him attention, where a man can 'window shop' and chose those women he wants to spend time with. He is made to feel he's important, he's desirable, in control as long as he shells out the money. It has little to do with his feelings about his marriage or his spouse. He can hang out with his friends and openly ogle women. They don't have this at Bowling alleys or auto garages.

Think of strip clubs like a car dealership---different models are viewed by the customer and the salesmen (the strippers) are encouraged to target the more financially successful looking men and the big spenders in order to get them to lay down more money for drinks and dances than they originally intended. Like a car salesman with a customer, strippers are not personally interested in these men; they are interested in the $$ and making a commission.

Some partners can't understand why someone goes to strip clubs; they may feel it is because the man is not satisfied with her, sexually or appearance wise. That's usually not the case. 'Window shopping' even while in a healthy relationship is something that both genders tend to do from time to time. If your husband does get lap dances, communicate (not accuse) about why is bothers you. See if you can both reach some sort of compromise--no lap dances for either of you, or a don't ask, don't tell policy.

It is an issue if someone focuses the majority of their finances and energy on going to strip clubs, or if they do become involved with a stripper (many strippers won't date customers or will only become involved with one in a sugar daddy relationship). And some customers don't understand that a strip club is just a big fantasy warehouse---the things that are said and done by the strippers are not meant sincerely and do not apply in reality. The strippers don't desire them or want to date them. It's all about the $$$$ (and you can't blame the strippers for thinking that way.)

A person that wants to cheat will find ways to do so---whether at their job or somewhere else. But if you feel that strip clubs and lap dances are too much of deal breaker to you, you need to decide if you can stay married to someone who has such a different outlook from yours.

Most guys really DON'T like strip clubs...that is, most healthy guys. But the rest of the male species go to look at boobs and butts - like little boys peeking at stuff they shouldn't see. Also it's the role reversal fantesy - the strippers are acting as seducers and playing like they are coming on to the stupid guy that's sitting there waiting to stick a dollar bill where the sun don't shine, while he sips overpriced drinks and thinks to himself.."they all want me". Men who like strip clubs are basically inmature.
