While there are many unanswered questions here on WikiAnswers, there are also a large amount of answered ones. They are all being answered at some point; but with a limited supply of people to do the answering, we cannot get them all done as quickly as we'd like, before the next batch comes through. Eventually we will have everything answered to the fullest extent possible, but in the mean time, you can help by * Checking that your question is as concise and simple as possible; * Making sure that your question is categorised properly, and if applicable placed with a similar question; and * Answering some questions yourself.
Well, wikianswers is a website where people can come and answer questions. So, basically, you can expect people to make immature answers. Also, a number of the newer answers that are useless are being given by bots.
If a member was spamming questions with irrelevant information, completely off-topic, they can expect to face consequences. However, if the information is somewhat relevant to the question being asked, it is fine.
The members of WikiAnswers are very busy, and you can't expect to be welcomed, but welcome! :)
It's not '..a bad place..' - Questions come from people of all ages. There is no minimum age limit, so there may be questions that are obvious - or seem silly. The same goes for answers ! You get out of the site what you put in. Remember - you're not obliged to answer every question, and you should expect to get the occasional stupid answer to questions posted !
Using this is a waste of time, you ask question's and you expect answer's but all you get is some crappy unanswered/relevant questions similar to yours.
The interviewer will expect you to look them in the eye and answer their questions in a straight forward way. They will look for creative answers that make you stand out from the competition.
The answers don't just randomly appear as part of an automatic information robot that places answers. Answers are placed by the users (who are real people) who signed up on WikiAnswers. Since there are about 4.5 times more question than users, it is impossible to answer them all. Plus, since users are real people, no one knows the answer to everything, and since users are not always on WikiAnswers, the answering process is a slow process, but the job does get done at some point. Not everyone knows everything, and don't expect your answer to be answered automatically, since there are real people taking their time to answer your questions with accuracy.
This is a challenge one must undertake oneself. Do not expect WikiAnswers to provide answers to quizzes and crosswords which are designed to enhance one's understanding of a topic.
"Which of the following..." type of questions are often test questions taken directly from school worksheets or actual tests. These kinds of questions expect *you*, the test-taker, to have studied and to be able to pick the correct choice or choices from an assortment of answers. This means you have to study to know what does or doesn't belong; what is or isn't; what fits and what doesn't. Asking for test answers is not appropriate on WikiAnswers. WikiAnswers will not do your homework for you (even for older adult students). Nor will this site provide answers to test questions from any regular school or online school. We will not write your discussion papers, critiques or essays, or develop your thesis statements for you. Asking for answers to tests or worksheets, or asking for someone to do your homework or provide 'easy answers' to your studies, are actions that teachers (and WikiAnswers) view as cheating. If you have a specific question in the subject we are more than willing to help. If you need help to understand material, ask specifically about the part that confuses you and we'll try to explain it.
2.5Another AnswerThe answer is infinity. If you ask open questions, expect infinite answers.
Because this site is for genuine questions - not as a 'play-ground'. People ask questions they need answering - they don't expect to get stupid answers. Similarly, obviously silly questions simply clog up the servers - using space that should be used more productively. If you want a site 'just to have fun' - there's nothing stopping you from creating your own website !
The above is simply a statement - what do you expect WikiAnswers to do with it? Please use WikiAnswers to ask questions and please make your questions clear and precise.
