I don't quite know what is meant by that if you are talking from the point of view of popularity among his own people. Both leaders were feared and all demonstrations of popularity were orchestrated and compulsory. Hitler certainly was admired for a short time in Germany as he managed to bring an end to the starvation that was the lot of the Germans as a result of the Versailles treaty however this was short lived. There are Nazi style organisations today because Hitler was responsible for the mass murder of millions of people that were according to him racially undesirable. Any organisation with that sort of murderous philosophy at its core would have little trouble gaining a following as Hitler him self found when he became leader of the Nazi party. As for Stalin He was responsible for the murder torture and starvation of his people throughout his carrier as a leading statesman. He like Hitler should have gained the same following. However his politics were very far removed from the ideal that is being pushed by the American press. as a matter of fact during the 1950's if you so much as sympathised with the ideals of socialism, let alone communism which by the way had nothing to do with Stalin's politics you would find yourself a marked man in the US. To boil it down to simple words Stalin was misrepresented as a Socialist to show the American public what a terrible regime it was Stalin was the leader of the USSR so he was bad. Hitler's ideals were closely associated with racism, a line of thinking that remained alive and well in the USA and most of the world even in the present time.

Hitler captivated the people with his enigmatic ways of speaking to large people groups. The people got caught up in what is called "group think". They began to believe he would provide food, jobs, homes, clothing, after years of deprivation after WW I. He did accomplish that. He also targeted parts of the population--the Jews--who were resented because of their relative affluence. Jewish properties and wealth were given to those who helped Hitler gain and retain power. It took them 12 years to wake up to the fact that Hitler was a megalomaniac who did not care about them and was a murderer.

Stalin did not have the charismatic ways with his people. In fact thousands were murdered in his efforts to break the peasantry and to remove opponents to his vision. Millions starved during his Five Year Plans to prosperity.

Yes and no. For an example, Stalin used methods such as taking food away from the russian people to starve them, but hitler would put jews into gas chambers. In my opinion, Hitler was a much bigger threat than Stalin.

Hitler had ideas for the genocide of an entire type of people. He had jews killed mercilessly out of hate. Hitler started the second World War, the biggest of any to have ever happened.

Stalin may have killed more but he did so for different reasons. Many peasants were killed due to Stalin's plan to modernise and collectivise Russia. The ones killed were ones who he saw would pose problems in the goal to revolutionise Russia and her Heavy Industry. He was a very paranoid man.

People are often also taught less and hear less about Stalin. They know he killed many people but they don't know why or the specifics.

Why does Hitler get so much hate when it's a well known fact the Japanese murdered close to 20 million Chinese? As well as mass rape and infanticide? Why is Hitler a household name whereas Hirohito is not?

I'm guessing you're American or Western, so if you are American, you should know there is a very large Jewish population in America, and that America supports Israel (even though Israel have and still do horrible things) The Japanese were in many ways worse than the Germans but due to the fact there are many Jews in western society (and not as many Chinese), the Holocaust is going to be more well known than say the rape of Nanking and other horrible atrocities inflicted by the Japanese.

Also it's pretty well known that Zionists use the Holocaust as an excuse to do horrible things to the Palestinians.

Was Gandhi a better leader than Stalin?

Both Gandhi and Stalin were influential leaders in their own right, but their leadership styles were vastly different. Gandhi is often remembered for his nonviolent approach to achieving social and political change, while Stalin was known for his authoritarian rule and the use of violence to maintain power. Ultimately, the determination of who was a better leader is subjective and dependent on individual perspectives.

Who is Hitler worse than Stalin?

Note: A lot of opinions. Some are below. It depends on how you define evil.Stalin:I would say Stalin as he was pure evil. Hitler was evil do not get me wrong, but Stalin hated everyone. Hitler had problems with the Jews and a few others, but Stalin persecuted his own people and others. There are more statistics on Hitler than Stalin. That is why more people might say Hitler for they do not know much about Stalin. Hitler is a household name, Stalin is usually not.Hitler:I would actually say Hitler was the more evil of the two. Like the poster above said, Stalin hated everyone, but Hitler targeted, isolated, and slaughtered one group of people. At least Stalin didn't discriminate.Hitler:Hitler plunged Europe into war as well as committing appalling atrocities. (Stalin did not unleash a major war). Hitler has become the #1 20th century icon (or symbol) of evil.Stalin:Although Stalin didn't cause a war he still sided with Hitler in the war. On top of that Stalin killed everyone even in his own army he had groups that where called blocks behind his soilders. They were ordered to shoot any troop giving up ground no matter what. Plus Stalin did start a war by him self the cold war!!!Hitler:There is all this talk about Stalin killed off his own fellow Russians - In actual fact he was betrayed by a fair number of his own fellow men who worked secretly for Hitler. When Stalin found this out, brutally and literally, lined those who betrayed them and had them shot. Everything he did was for a reason and people are too quick to jump to conclusions without fact. In all honesty, he can be seen as one of the greatest leaders of our time who took an undeveloped country and turned it into the greatest industrial country with one of the most powerful military forces to this very day.Stalin:Both Stalin and Hitler are both considered some of the worst leaders. Both instituted totalitarian governments and they both killed lots of people. Stalin would kill people, and then expunge them from all records, like in pictures. Hitler, at the end of the war, gassed millions of people. However, Stalin's communist policy also led to major shortages in food and caused tens of millions of people to starve to death. So, between Hitler and Stalin - they were both terrible leaders, I would have to say Stalin. Yes, Hitler was bad, but Stalin was worse! Wrap up:One can debate motive and intentions all day, but if murder is the greatest evil, then when the debate is said and done, Hitler is usually ascribed with about 15 million murders and Stalin with tens and tens of millions of murders.

Do you think Communist leader of World War 2 J.Stalin was better than A.Hitler if looking up to 20 billion people he killed in his days Russia not in war many of them were Jews too?

Both Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler were murderous people, so you can't really say which is "better" if both are bad.
