Answer 1

This is a really strange question with several answers.

  1. First of all, to clarify: the Jews did not kill Jesus. The Catholic Church even issued an apology for that one.
  2. Second, Jesus was never a king. He was a rabbi, a teacher.
  3. Third, you don't have to be Jewish to hate Nazis.
  4. Fourth, Hitler killed plenty of Catholics, homosexuals, Roma, Poles, Czechs, Ukrainians, Communists -- not just Jews.
  5. Fifth, Jesus, himself, was a Jew. It would be most inconsistent for anyone who claims to be a Christian and a follower of Jesus to hate Jews. Jesus never taught against Judaism; in fact, his teachings were mostly in line with Jewish beliefs of the time, while being different in some ways.

Answer 2

The Jews were responsible for bringing Him before the Romans to have him crucified. Had the Jews of the time not taken Jesus to them and pleaded for His death, He never would have died. So, the Jews of the time are quite responsible for His death, as much as the Roman who pounded the nails into His hands.

Not to generalize it all and say that Catholics hate Hitler for killing the Jews, but it is good that men are bothered by what Hitler did. First off, to hold bias against an entire race of people because of what their ancestors did 2000 years go is hideous. The man who wishes a death sentence on an entire race of people is missing the point altogether, and I'm quite sure that man has a surprise coming on judgment day. What the Jews did was prophesied: bruised for our transgressions, by his stripes we are healed. Any Christian, regardless of denomination, would realize that this is not a battle of flesh and blood here on earth since the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Rather, it is a spiritual battle as God works out His will on Earth, that men should keep His law and now be forgiven of their sins by receiving what He has done in His Son Jesus Christ.

No bloodthirsty man who loves what Hitler did is a Christian, whether he claims to be a Catholic, Baptist, or Evangelical. Any man who applauds Hitler will meet him someday after the judgment.

Answer 3

In The Bible it says to forgive. It also says Jesus came to Earth to die for our sins. But be aware: I am only 11.

Answer 4

While you can see from the previous that the question presumes as facts things that simply aren't true at all, may I ask you also consider:

The supposition itself is something promoted, frequently by hate groups with an agenda they want others to endorse to infuriate and spur discrimination. Similar to saying things like all Blacks are dumber than Whites, violent, etc. The Nazi's themselves, (who did not generally endorse religion), promoted the same argument as it helped make their cause acceptable to others. That Nazis liked Christianity, or accepted any religion, wouldn't be true. Likely they would have moved on to Catholics at some point in their hatred is reasonable - there are many equally true or not oft repeated ideas that infuriate others about the Catholics. Other christian groups may well have been next. In fact, many of the communist areas followed this similar route. (Much of the Nazi attacks were made not so much for any religious or real Aryan purity reasons as that any sub group is a challenge to a ruling or trying to get to rule one).

However, isn't it more disturbing that you can so easily seem to accept, even promote, that Christians should find it entirely proper to hate others, for any reason?

Answer 5

I've studied Christianity and Islam for about 7 years now and I can say for certain the reason Jews of the past went through so much hell from people like Hitler and today in Israel is because they got themselves into plenty of trouble. But it's absurd to hold an entire group of people responsible for the crimes of their ancestors so its better to forgive and forget.

Answer 6

The above is so absurd, in so many ways, that I could only assume it was posted as a joke.

Then I realized..it isn't a joke...just another rehash of anti-semitic, even pro-nazi tactics. From above "...I can say for certain the reason Jews of the past went through so much hell from people like Hitler and today in Israel is because they got themselves into plenty of trouble." I guess that since being a holocaust denier is not only illegal, but now even seen as dumb so quickly, the idea of not denying but saying the holocaust was the Jews' fault...they only got what they had coming...which is exactly one part of how the Nazis justified their actions as they did it, or comforted and excused those doing them, comes back into play. Simply accepting the above means you're accepting some part of that idea.

First, the Jews had lots and lots of problems - like the whole bondage in Egypt (leading to Moses and the Exodus and reason for Passover), a zillion other tribulations - being conquered, tossed out of lands, and more, for the centuries before Christ was even supposedly a character.

To say the problems after Christ is a repercussion for any possible participation in his or some later persons death, is nonsense.

The Nazis killed many many people - of the 9 mill estimated to have died in the camps, 6 million were estimated as Jews, the rest, very likely Christians...or other types of groups (Gypsies, Disabled, Blacks, Non-Aryan, etc.)...anyone that was a "threat," target, or easy pickings. Generally, G-d's most needy and deserving...so saying Hitler was a revenge ordained by G-d for Jesus, doesn't hold too much water there either....unless you're saying he would take all those other innocents just for kicks I guess.

Answer 7

Jews did not kill Jesus. Hitler killed Jews, but not just Jews, he even killed people he thought were Jews but weren't . Would God appreciate if people killed other people? no. God wants everyone and thing to live its life and do good things, he wouldn't want people killing other people.

Answer 8

I wonder what sort of religion the original questioner thinks Christianity is. Christians are forbidden to desire, seek or take revenge. Obviously, many Christians have at various times fallen far short of what their religion requires, but that is another matter. Christianity also, of course, forbids spreading hatred and malice.

Answer 9

The Pope himself says that the Jews are not to blame for the killing of Jesus.

First of all, the Jews did not kill Jesus, the Romans killed Jesus and they considered him a rebel leader; so they had good cause to kill him.

However, even assuming the Jews of that time killed Jesus, why should the Jews of today have to pay for a crime perpetrated over 2000 years ago? It makes no sense. Should Jews have the right to kill Christians and Muslims because of the numerous persecutions that Jews suffered at the hands of Christians and Muslims (even in living memory, not to mention centuries ago)? It is preposterous. Each person should be judged on the merit of his or her life, not on the actions of their ancestors.

Because Christians blamed Jews for the Crucifixion Of Christ; plus the very fact that they rejected Him as the Messiah & the Son Of God.

Is Jesus a Muslim prophet or a Christian god?

I think Jesus is both - prophet to the Muslims and god to the Christians. Both cannot be correct one must be right and one must be wrong. If the Christians are correct with their belief (John 10:30) - the Muslims will have some explaining to do. If the Muslims are correct with their belief (John 17:3) - the Christians will have some explaining to do.
