Yeah, there is more than one. It is like books. The first time they print them, they make a certain amount... say 1,000. That is the first edition. If it is popular, then they usually print more, in a second edition, and then if it is still popular... third edition, etc. First editions are popular with people who really like something, but they usually aren't much different from a second edition. They only ones where it is hard to find them is if they print a special, limited edition... which means this is the only time they are going to print it exactly this way.
First editions could be 10,000 or more, it just depends on how many they decide to publish in that first round. If there is a second edition, those cards or books are just as good and useful... only collectors usually care about whether something is a first edition or not.
While most first edition Pokemon cards are worth approximately 50.00, Machamp is an exception and is only worth around 3.00. The reason for this is that millions of these card were printed and mismarked as first editions.
There's no such thing as a First edition Corsola card.
no, nothing can be first edition without a stamp. if you dont have a stamp your not first edition,
If a card is 1st edition, it will say so, it will have '1st edition' written on it. The concept of 1st edition only applies for cards in booster sets, including Duelist Packs though - promo cards never have '1st edition' even if they were the first printing of that card.
The card would have 1st edition on the bottom left of the card image (above the type of the monster e.g. zombie). If the card doesn't say 1st edition it is unlimited edition.
The only way to know if a card is First Edition or Unlimited is by looking to the left of the Pokemon information right below the picture (See image below). If it has the label "1 Edition", then it is a First Edition card. If there is nothing there, then it is Unlimited.
A Spanish 1st edition Machamp Pokemon card is worth around $20.
The rarely seen first edition, holographic Asshatmon. The rarely seen first edition, holographic Asshatmon.
It'll say on the card, just beneath the picture, if it is 1st edition.
On the left of the part of the card that lists the pokemon's weight/height/type (which is usually right below the picture), first edition cards have a symbol that says "Edition 1" with the 1 in a circle. Hope that helps. :)
100 dollars
The First Edition cards are more expensive because there are fewer of them. They only make one First Edition release and after that it's all unlimited. Fewer copies of something makes it more rare and hence, more valuable. Solution First Edition are somewhat more expensive because you get a little extra writing on the cards. Even from the original country Japan, they don't use 1st Edition cards because theirs no such thing. Either that or the cards I got were just Unlimited Edition Japanese cards anyway.
