I think it was devastating because the Romans used all they could to keep the Goths away from Rome, but the Romans ruined it for themselves
The sack of Rome was devastating because the Roman Empire was not attacked by anyone since 800 years.
The Romans stopped making payments to the Goths, so it made the Goths furious. Then the Goths sacked, or destroyed, Rome in 410 AD.

I believe it was the germanic tribes. Rome needed soldiers so they hired German mercernaries of that time. However after the war was done they stayed and prettymuch took over as their population rised.
No i don't currently think they are considering that Kristen recently cheated, and Rob is still horribly devastated. It's so sad.
It means that it is really not flattering- If you think about what a potato sack looks like, its just loose and has no shape to it at all. Its just a bag that brushes over the curves of a body. So it is not flattering.
I think so... (70%yes/ 30%no)
i know 'pilfer a sack' comes from Baseball and to pilfer means to steal. So I'm guessing that to 'pilfer a sack' means to steal a base.
I don´t think so
it is that they thought they deserved it
There was not an empire which led Rome and there was not a conquest of Rome. Rome had an empire: the Roman Empire. Although the invasions by the Germanic peoples led to the fall of the western part of the Roman Empire, the city of Rome was never conquered. Ancient Rome was sacked by the Visigoths in 410 and by the Vandals in 455, but it was not conquered. Both Visigoths and Vandals withdrew after the sack. They did so before units of the Roman army from elsewhere in the Roman Empire would catch up with them.
some kid goes up to me and says "do you have a sack" i said no and he luaghed. i said yah and he laughed. i said what the hell is a sak and he laughed. so.. what is a sack
