If she wants to talk to you let her call you because that is not proper what she is doing - if you are dating her long distant or not she should not still be conversing with her ex unless they have to such as having children. You may want to ask her if it is really over between her and her ex and she may be just stringing you along, he may not realize she talks to you and she is enjoying being the object of your affection. It may be best at this point to do what is best for you and maybe date people closer to your home. It sounds like she is too insecure for a full time one on one relationship with you. If she needs to talk to him, she can't commit to just you; that's just not right.
