I am a scientist and it has been proven through numerous types of experiments in the state of Arizona, that it is actually a fruit. As a stem is narrow and attaches the fruit to its tree. Many people disagree as shown on other websites information. But over the past 6 months we have been testing, and recently on the 27th March 2011 it was confirmed to be a fruit not a stem. Many people are in disbelief and disagreement but it is the logical, scientifical classification of an apple.

Apples grow in trees. They start out as flowers and then turn into the fruit, the stems are what they use to attach themselves to the tree.

Every type of fruit has a stem. It all grows on plants. The plant provides the fruit with food so the fruit can grow. A pumpkin is a fruit just like an apple or an orange.

How do canada celebrate Halloween?

The same way the US does. One small difference, though - and being from Maritime Canada, I can attest to it - some areas in the nation (especially the East Coast, as I mentioned) say "Halloween Apples!" instead of "Trick-or-Treat" when trolling for candy. This stems from a time when candy apples were given out instead of regular candy.
