In my opinion he went back there to write the password...One of the holograms must have told him to write the secret code "72" there for Desmond (The pyramid that the Desmond's group found). Because if you remember, in the first part of AC II, the hologram talked to him about Desmond, but he didn't understand who it was. So my guess is that he saw the hologram once again and it told him where to hide the Apple of Eden(Temple of Juno) and where to write the password(In Monteriggioni). Now for the statue of Altair, why he was standing there looking at it remains unknown. I'd say he was just looking at it one last time.
Well, the ACII: Master Assassin's Edition (North America) costs $79 on Gamestop, and the Game itself is $59, so all the extras make up about $20. - Bonus disc - Art book - Ezio statue Honestly, I'd say the Ezio statue would be worth $20 if it's just plastic. It's 8.5" tall making it about the size of the case. So if they give the name of the manufacturer (the first games 12" Altair statue was from First4Figures), check their site and see how much it costs.
ezio does not die because they say his name in the end. But they do mention that he comes back to the assassins shrine when hes much older. yes he does go back to the shrine but dies when in his 80s or 90s with his kids and his wife sofia that you will see in assassins creed Revelations.
