It all depends. Some sore throats are due to having your mouth open for so long and having it dry out. That will usually go away within 24 to 48 hours.
You also may get a sore throat because your resistance may be down. That's one reason for you to take it easy for the next few days especially after having extractions.
Because usually, they put you under with the anistesia(sorry about the spelling - the stuff that makes you fall asleep!) and when you wake up from that stuff, it takes a little while to wake up from it because it lasts a long time, so your body is waking up from it so it makes you dizzy and tired.
It could be a result of the pain medication. I would stop using it because you do not want to throw up with those open wounds where the teeth were extracted. You can take 4 pain relievers (such as Advil, Tylenol, etc.) to equal prescription strength pain medication, but you should consult your doctor first. It could also be a reaction to the anesthetic if you were put to sleep. Sometimes the anesthesia can make you ill to your stomach.
Yo, yeah it hurts. I jst had my two wisdom teeth out today.and believe me the worst part is swallowing! It honestly feels like being stabbed in the mouth everytime I swallow. Hopefully it subsides in a couple of days. Cause aslong as it's like this I won't be eating or drinking too much! Anyway dont be scared, sitting writing this now my mouth is not too bad. Jst try not to swallow too much! :)
because you are put under anesthesia during the procedure so that you sleep through it without feeling any pain. Also, you are probably taking painkillers during your recovery (such as hydrocodone) which can also make you feel very sleepy.
Could be from the novicane shots, or shock to sinuses.
Because of the novacaine the dentist uses. It will still last for a while afterwards.
No. I am 61 and just had a wisdom tooth removed. No problem.
Wisdom tooth extraction requires an oral surgeon when the wisdom tooth is compacted, or when the area around the tooth is infected.
If you Swallow it you can choke....
For a while ( few days) after your wisdom teeth are removed, it is advisable to do nothing that might disturb the blood clots that have formed in the tooth socket. That would include running or jumping.
If not cleaned properly bacteria.
If it doesn't give you any trouble it doesn't have to be removed.
Yes but i would check with my dentist
"i have a wisdom tooth on lower right side that came in after all my other teeth were removed do i need to have it removed before i get a set of dentures
I have had all my wisdom teeth removed and have never had stitches (Sweden). They were all removed in the same way by different dentists. Local anaesthetic followed by brute force pulling (sounds alot worse than it is). The "opening" left behind heals itself fairly easy. Just had a compressor against it for a few hours for some residual bleeding. Pulling a tooth is not much worse than any other treatment, however the healthier and the more visible the wisdom tooth is, the easier the pull will be.
I'm a bit surprised at your question. I can't believe any orthodontist would put braces on a wisdom tooth. Unless you're asking because you want to have this done. Secondly, closing the space that a lost tooth has caused is asking a lot. Having a tooth removed will most likely throw off the alignment of all of your teeth. I'm not a dentist but it sounds like you need a crown or a post where the missing tooth was (or will be).
Normally, there is not enough room in your mouth for the wisdom teeth to come in. If you've lost some back teeth for one reason or another, the wisdon tooth can come in with no problem.
I'd follow the advice of the dentist, since the wisdom tooth can move forward after the second molar is removed.
