Might be a blown EGR valve. Exhaust Gas Recirculator valves mix fuel and exhaust with the purpose of fully burning fuel that may be unburned in the exhaust. They are pressure driven and there is a diaphragm in them that can break.
Subaru Impreza WRX is a type of sports car. If you would like to know more information about this car, check Subaru's official website. There's a lot of important information about this car on there.
Depends on which year/model motor you are trying to use and which year/model you are trying to put it into. Subaru's are built like Lego and most parts are interchangeable, problem is there are substantial wiring modifications required for some swaps.
It depends on the model. The WRX and WRX STI models have a turbo. Like most Subarus, if the Impreza has a hood scoop (for the intercooler) it has a turbo.
You can buy cay parts for a Subaru Impreza at auto dealers like Napa Auto Parts and Autozone. Many people also buy car parts that are used on eBay too.
Sounds like the speedometer cable broke.
fit a subaru engine
Sounds like a relay, which should be near or in the fuse box.
mine is a 93 impreza, it is underneath the passenger's footwell under the carpet. Think I heard for newer models it is in the dash area on the driver's side.
According to various sites and research, the 2012 impreza does not have any recent recalls, but if would like to check for yourself there are numerous sites to check. One very reliable site is http://www.carseverything.com.
Its a 1.8 95 Subaru Impreza AWD. The sound started when it was very cold one day. And it still is cold. The sound is not there when the car is ideling. And the sound is not affected by the revs, only the speed of the car. When the car hits about 40 km/h the squeal starts. And it gets worse when I accelerate. It goes away after a minute or two and starts again around 60 km/h. Then it goes away again and there is no more sound. It's a kind of belt noise but a bit more "gritty". Sounds like it's coming from left side of the car right next to the tire. I have checked the tire and found nothing to indicate that there is something wrong with it.
Exhaust leak possibly...
