Why does the four wheel drive not engage in cold weather 2001 Sport Trac Light flashes for a few min. then goes in 4wd When it is cold out it will not do anything after two days of driving?

Mike from Des Moines Iowa renchturn@mcshi.com. I am having aout the same problem, past weekend my abs light came on & my 2002 sport trac is stuck in 4x4 high. Taking it to a shop tomorrow 01/22/2008 next to where I work at to find the problem.
