In the case ofeuthanasia the argument goes that first of all the person that wishes to be euthanased gives instructions for this to take place. then the next step might be that at a certain point representations can be made in special cases where there is supposedly no chance of recovery and where the person involved cant make the decision Eventually some say that this line of action would lead to a situation where people are being euthenased for economic reasons. Not to mention the possibility of corruption where a particular family member or other person is snuffed out because others would be economically better of as happened with mental institutions in the past and in some cases no doubt into the present. When you permit people to kill or help kill other people the risk is that we are opening a Pandora's box that may prove hard to close.
