That is called split custody. There may be more than one reason for this. If all of you lived with your mom, you would all have to travel more often to visit your dad, or your dad would have to travel more often. If your dad has at least one child living with him, this is better than not seeing any of his kids often enough. Another reason depends on you and your brothers and sisters. Were you getting along with all of them? It may have been better for you to be separated from them.
It's important that you get to see the rest of your family at least sometimes. You should ask your dad to take you to see them sometimes and also call them as often as you can.
