If your iPod got wet and the screen is now white, do not turn the device on and off. This could cause a short circuit. You can try putting it on rice. Rice helps absorb the moisture. Allow the device to dry out a few days.
i have come across this 2 times.
hold the on/off and home button together for about 10 seconds. It should reboot and yes! If that doesn't work, Turn your ipod off, hold the home button and connect to computer with the computer running iTunes. Then restore!
I don't know why it happens, but if it does happen hold down he power button and the middle button down the bottom of the touch screen at the same time and your ipod will turn on, no more white screen, it happened to mine about 7 minutes ago. I ! :P
This has happened to mine a few times. Just hold down the main menu button, just underneath the screen, and the on/off button down for 10 seconds and your ipod/iphone should turn off and turn back on again. Your ipod should be back to normal.
Don't worry! This is easily fixed. Your ipod is not done for because the screen works. Ipods are not completely waterproof but they are built for bumbs and the odd waterspill. Press the menu button and the off button at the same time, and hold for about 20-30 seconds, if this doesn't work, I'm sure you've heard of the old put-it-in-a-bag-of-rice solution? Well, it often does work, so give that a try. If it doesn't help, all is not lost. Leave it for 2-3 weeks, then put it on a charger, NOT connected to your computer, just a powerpoint. Leave it charging over night. When you check it in the morning, the screen should display a "connect to computer" screen or something telling you to sync. When you do this, the ipod will refresh and none of your apps or music will be there anymore, but you can easily add them again. Hope this helps! Good Luck!
PS. I left my ipod accidently ALL NIGHT in the rain (i no, stupid, huh?) and this worked for me! Everything is fine, in fact i've noticed the battery life is longer! Though, if i turn my ipod off completely (when holding the off button for a while) it stuffs up and i have to charge it again before it works :( but im still happy i didn't have to get a new one, I thought it was dead!
In an iPod Touch, the screen can be white for various unknown reasons, but there is a simple way to solve this. Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button for six seconds simultaneously (at the same time). The iPod should turn off, and then turn it back on. Give it about 5 minutes. It should work fine now.
If you have an iPod with click wheel i.e. iPod Classic, iPod Nano, 5G iPod and such all you have to do is start playing a song, then in the now playing screen press the center button until you see the lyrics. If you have the iPod touch however simply play a song and on the now playing screen touch the center screen and the lyrics show up.
yes! there is! there is a new itouch with a camera, the new ipod nano is a touch screen now,and the ipod shuffle now has buttons, voiceover and is smaller
Bring it to Future ShopOr you hold the button at the bottom of the screen and the small rectangular one at the top until your iPod turns off. My iPod Touch did this aswell so we took it into dick smith and they did that and now it's good as new! But you might have to reload your apps, music ect. hope that helps!
I've got a 4 gig iPod from 2007 and back then it was $199 so i think it would have to be the cheapest now.

Click cancel on itunes wait for the ipod touch to reboot and you got your ipod touch jailbroken lol that easy
Welcome to the iPod Touch! Unlike the other iPods, this one is touch-screen. Ahh, so now you get why it's named "iPod Touch". First, you go to the Apple store, and purchase your iPod Touch. Make sure to grab a case (a hard one, I recommend). As soon as you are finished buying all of your needs for your new iPod, head home to work on setting your iPod up. When you get home, make sure to put a screen protector on your iPod touch. After placing the screen on, place the case on. There you have your new iPod. After taking care of all your iPod needs, go to your computer and inject the white cord which came with the iPod. This white cord is important for you to have at all times; it is your only charging item and loads apps, pictures, video and music onto your iPod as well. When your computer recognizes that you have your iPod touch injected into the computer, it will read "iPod touch" as its name. You can change the name, and if you feel like changing the name -- cool. Anyways, load your music, videos and other stuff onto your iPod so you're set. Eject the white cord when finished. Now you'll have everything you need on your iPod -- until you meet little handy App Store. You've heard the word "app", and this is where you get them! You will learn more as you use your iPod. Enjoy!
To zoom on an Ipod Touch follow these step below: 1. Place your 2 fingers on the screen 2. Now spread them apart from each other while keeping contact on the screen 3. Tada..thats how you zoom.
Over the last ten years the iPod has basically changed in: Memory, performance, and user interface. Some of the fist iPods only had 5 GB memory. Now they have iPods as large as 160GB. Also the fist iPod used a click-wheel and was large and heavy. Now there is a Nano that is small and holds a lot and the iPod touch that uses a 3.5 Multi-touch display. To see the changes try Wikipedia or Google image search: iPod, original iPod, iPod touch, iPod classic to see the physical changes.
The difference in the iPod Nano is it holds less content. It also has a smaller screen. I would suggest the iPod classic (the new version of iPod videos) if you are wanting to buy an iPod. Now there is also the iPod Nano that is a video too. If you do not have more than 2000 songs in your library and would also like videos on your iPod than i would suggest that. :)
