I do not think the taste from either the electric or gas matters but I personally think you can control the temperature better with a gas stove. You can keep a constant flame as opposed to a lot of electric stoves where the heat comes and goes. It just helps to control your cooking better with a gas stove, I think.
Many gas stoves use natural gas. Many homes across the U.S. use natural gas to heat their homes in the winter. Propane can also be used with gas stoves.
You can use butane as a fuel for portable stoves and cigarette lighters
Most camping stoves use propane.Propane is a three-carbonalkalinea formula called C3H8, normally a gas.
Most countries use petroleum (in cars) and natural gas (in cooking stoves).
Some kitchen stoves use natural gas as their fuel source, so for burner to light there has to be some type of a flame or pilot light to ignite the gas once it is turned on. Normally stoves are manufactured with safety in mind, they don't spontaneously combust. Stoves that catch fire may have a defect or the user has done something in error.
Gas kitchen stove are much faster to heat up than the electric stoves. Electric stoves takes a while to heat up. I myself would use gas kitchen stoves because they're faster and much more hotter.
Gas cook stoves use Propane also called LPG which stands for Liquid Propane Gas or Liquified Petroleum Gas in rural areas not served by Natural Gas(NG). LPG is stored in large cylindrical tanks on site. They also run on Natural Gas which is a mixture of petroleum gasses delivered by a network of underground pipes. These stoves often need a low cost kit to be converted to use one gas or the other. Gas camping stoves can run on propane, butane, or a mixture of the two. There are also models that use so called white gas or Coleman fuel, a petroleum product similar to gasoline. A few models that burn white gas may also burn unleaded gasoline, or even kerosene, diesel, or jet fuel.
The best gas really depends on what you prefer

Depends on the stove. Some use propane while others use white gas.
home cookers use methane supplied in gas form. portable stoves can use ethane, propane or, most commonly, butane which is stored in liquid form inside the canisters
"Professional chefs use high-end professional-grade ovens and stoves so you may want to invest in one. Also, a faucet with a pulldown or pullout sprayer is useful for quick and easy cleaning. Also, lots of counter space is vital. Nothing for aesthetic purposes, because space is important."
